The Christmas season is fast approaching with all of it's joys and traditions. The Lake Wales Family YMCA is proud to be part of local traditions offering it's 23rd Annual Lights of Love celebration.
On December 10, 2011 the shores of Lake Wailes will be illuminated with over 1000 bags in honor or in memory of many. This holiday tradition is a wonderful opportunity for you and your family to recognize loved ones. Each luminary is $2.00, $5.00 for three or $37.50 for 25. ll proceeds will help fund the Lake Wales Family YMCA Scholarship program. In 2010, our Y gave over $119,000 in scholarships and subsidies, providing over 700 children, teens and adults the opportunity to participate in programs.
Each luminary will be lettered with the name of the person you wish to honor or remember, arranged in alphabetical order around Lake Wailes. The luminaries will be lit at 5:00pm and will burn throughout the evening.
